Call for Presentation Proposals

The NAO Conference Planning Committee invites you to submit a proposal for a concurrent session podium presentation for the 2020 NAO Biennial Conference, AHEC 2020: Visualizing the Crossroads of our Past, Present, and Future, scheduled for July 14-17, 2020, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Presentations will address one of four major programmatic areas: Diversity and Inclusion, Leadership, Practice Transformation, or AHEC Scholars. (A new focus area for presentations given to or by students involved in AHEC Scholars is also an option.)

The goals of the conference are 1) to provide practical skills and information to implement or improve AHEC-sponsored programs; 2) to enhance the professional development of AHEC directors, staff and board members, and 3) to enable participants to develop new approaches that advance the AHEC mission.

Submission timeline:

  • Submission deadline February 15, 2020 11:59 p.m. EST
  • Notification on or before April 1, 2020
  • Acceptance Deadline April 8, 2020
  • Presentation slides due on or before June 12, 2020

There are three submission categories:

  • Single Session Forums
  • Double Session Small Group Educational Activities
  • Poster Presentations

Now accepting nominations for AHEC Awards

As we are preparing for our 2020 NAO Conference that will be held July 14-17, 2020 in Salt Lake City, we invite you to nominate centers and programs for the Center of Excellence or one of our Legacy Awards that will be presented at the 2020 Conference.

Categories for this year's awards include three Legacy Awards and five Center of Excellence Awards. The Center of Excellence (COE) Awards (Nomination Form) have been redesigned to align with HRSA's overarching priorities: Diversity and Distribution. The Legacy Awards remain the same and are the Eugene S. Mayer Program of Excellence Award, the Andy Nichols Award for Social Justice and the Red Koelling Distinguished Service Award. The linked documents describe the criteria for nominating and the review criteria that will be used for each award.

2020 NAO Biennial Conference

2020 NAO Biennial Conference Planning

Crossroads Utah AHEC and the members of the Utah AHEC Program will be our hosts.
